Menus
Update July 2024, Summer Menu and Outside Menu: We are in the process of updating our Summer Menu and over the next few weeks we will be introducing new dishes and retiring old ones, but keeping popular favourites. The menu below is a flavour of what we will be offering but there will be differences. Call/email us if you want to know more before booking and/or turning up. We also have an Outside Menu for our Wood-fired Oven and Grill.
Here at The Plough we believe that to serve really good food, it needs to be prepared fresh in our kitchen, using the best ingredients available and that desserts, sauces, condiments and such are made by ourselves rather than bought in. With this in mind, we create menus that provide choice but allow us to be true to our ideals. Alongside these menus will be a short list of special dishes that will change by the day, week, month and season, as we bring in interesting and complimentary sources for our cooking.
As we use as much fresh, local and seasonal produce in our food as we can, we are subject to market rates, so on the daily menu you may see some variation in prices from the sample menus here (could be cheaper!) Rest assured we put quality and value ahead of everything else when selecting our suppliers. Our meat is sourced from local farms near the village as a priority.
We annotate menu items which fall under various categories of allergy and/or dietary requirements, such as:
Gluten-free (GF)
L-O Vegetarian (VEG), Vegan (VGN)
Our kitchen is brand new, we follow the strictest hygiene standards and segregate our ingredients, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that every dish will be completely free of small amounts of allergens, especially if these are being used in other dishes at the same time. If you have specific needs in this respect, please get in contact before dining with us.

All our pizzas are made using the finest Italian flour and proved by ourselves. Our oven is fired with kiln-dried Birch and Oak for the best flavours and textures.

Wine List
Also at The Plough we take great care in selecting all our wines, especially those which we think will partner well with our dishes. We continuously update our list, while keeping old favourites available when we can. Every wine we offer has been tasted by us, often in competition with others, and with and without food to see how they match up. We can honestly say that we enjoy drinking all of what we offer, as if we didn’t, we wouldn’t put them on the list. It’s as simple as that.
Some of our wines are available by the glass as well as by the bottle in 125ml (S), 175ml (M) and 250ml (L) servings and are shown as such.
As a special treat for wine lovers, we have a limited selection of interesting and fine wine including mature vintages, kept in our temperature controlled wine store. As these come and go regularly, it would be difficult to keep it up to date here, so we have a “black book” in the restaurant which our staff will be happy to show you. We would advise not to hesitate too much if you see something you’d like, as when it’s gone, it’s gone!
